Get started with ASM on Turbify (Yahoo)

In this tutorial you get your Turbify (Yahoo) store ready for Advanced Shipping Manager (ASM): bring your products in, add your first shipping rule, switch ASM on, and see ASM's shipping methods in your cart. Follow the steps in order.

Before you start

You need your ASM username and password. If you don't have them, contact support. See Get help.

Step 1: Sign in

1. Go to https://www.advancedshippingmanager.com/clients/admin.
2. Enter your Username and Password, and select Sign in.

If you're asked to verify a phone number, see One-time phone verification.

Step 2: Publish your store so your products come in

On Turbify, ASM reads your products from your store each time you publish it. A product you've added or changed in Turbify reaches ASM only after your next publish.

1. Publish your store in Turbify, the way you normally do.
2. In ASM, go to the Dashboard. In the Finish setting up card, the step Your products are in ASM ticks once products have arrived.

Step 3: Add your first shipping rule

A shipping rule is one shipping method shoppers can pick, such as "UPS Ground" or "Free Shipping", with the price ASM charges for it.

1. In the Finish setting up card, select Add a rule →.
2. Follow Add a shipping method.

If your rule uses a carrier's live rates, connect that carrier first. See Connect a carrier account.

Step 4: Test it in the Shipping Estimator

1. Go to Shipping Estimator.
2. Enter a ZIP code, type a product's ID in Product ID, and select Calculate rates.
3. Your method appears under Your rates. On Turbify stores, the results also show a Tax line.

Step 5: Turn ASM on

1. In the Finish setting up card, select Open settings →. This opens Settings → Shipping.
2. Under Global shipping settings, switch on Enable Advanced Shipping Manager in your store.
3. Select Save Settings. The badge changes to Live.

Step 6: Show ASM's methods in your cart (Shipping Method Populator)

The Shipping Method Populator is the box in your Turbify cart and shipping page that lists ASM's shipping methods. It's a paid extension.

It's added by placing ASM's code snippets in your Turbify store editor:

• the Shopping Cart page message,
• the Shopping Cart page's Shipping Calculator section, and
• the Shipping page's Shipping Options section.

Contact support for the snippets for your store and help placing them.

Once it's in, shoppers see:

• "Please enter your zip code to see available shipping methods." until they enter a ZIP code,
• then a Shipping Methods: list with a radio button for each method and its price.

A method that costs $0.00 shows FREE. If a $0.00 method's name contains "Quote" or "Pick-Up", it shows QUOTE or PICK-UP instead.

Step 7: See it in your cart

1. Open your store and add a product to the cart.
2. Enter a ZIP code.
3. Your ASM methods appear under Shipping Methods:.

You're live. If the list doesn't load, see Turbify: shipping methods don't load in the cart.

What else is different on Turbify

• Sales tax. Turbify stores see Taxes in the ASM menu. See Set up sales tax rates.
• Shopper error messages. You can change the text shoppers see when no method is available. See Customize shopper error messages (Turbify).
