Your free trial (and extra trial days)
Every new store gets a 7-day free trial of ASM. This article explains what happens during it, when it ends, and how extra trial days work.
On Shopify, the trial is part of the Shopify subscription you approved when you installed ASM. Shopify handles it. See Billing for Shopify stores.
During the trial
- A banner at the top of the admin counts down: N days left in your free trial, then Your free trial ends today. It shows the date your trial ends.
- We email you 3 days, 2 days and 1 day before the end: "Your Advanced Shipping Manager trial will end in N days", then "…will end tomorrow".
- Use the time to set up your rules and test them at your real checkout.
To keep going after the trial, subscribe before the end date. Select Subscribe now on the banner, or go to Billing. See Subscribe in the app.
When the trial ends
If you haven't subscribed by the end date:
- We email you: "Your Advanced Shipping Manager trial has ended".
- The banner changes to Your free trial has ended, with a Subscribe now button.
- The Dashboard and the Shipping Estimator show only the banners, and the Markups page is unavailable.
Subscribe to bring everything back.
Extra trial days
Sometimes our team offers extra trial days. You'll see a banner: N extra trial days are waiting for you.
To claim them:
- Select Claim my extra days. The Billing page opens.
- Choose your plan and extensions, and add your billing address.
- Select Continue to payment, enter your card, and select Save card & start my extra days.
You will not be charged today. Your first payment is on the date shown, then every month. You can cancel any time before then. See Cancel or reactivate your subscription.
Older stores
If your banner's button says Sign up now instead of Subscribe now, your store signs up through our website rather than in the app. Select Sign up now to subscribe. Need more time to evaluate? Call us at 1-888-546-4932 to extend your trial.
