Setup notes for other carriers

Carrier-by-carrier notes for the cards in Settings → Carriers that don't have their own article. Field names are shown exactly as they appear on the card.

For every carrier:

  • Enter the details your carrier gave you for its rating (quoting) service. Your website login isn't always the same thing. If you're not sure, ask your carrier rep for "API" or "rate quote" credentials.
  • Save, then select Test connection if the card has it. See Test a carrier connection.
  • Freight carriers also need a Freight class and may need Accessorials. See LTL freight in ASM.

Parcel carriers

DHL Express

  • Fields: Site ID, Password, Payment account number.
  • Test: DHL Express has no US domestic service, so the test ships across the border (a US store tests to Toronto; other stores test to Hewlett, NY).
  • If the test says DHL "priced … at $0", your login and route work but the Payment account number isn't set up for rate quotes. Ask your DHL rep.

Canada Post

  • Fields: API key user and API key password (use your production keys), Customer number, Contract ID, Quote type (Commercial or Counter), Include taxes (GST, PST and HST).

Purolator

  • Fields: Production key, Production key password, Account number, Activation key, Payment type (Sender, Receiver or ThirdParty). With Purolator Freight: Freight key, Freight password, Freight number, Freight class and Accessorials.
  • Test: Canadian origins only. Purolator only accepts shipments that start in Canada.

Canpar

  • Fields: User ID, Password, Shipper number, and three discount switches (association, individual, invoice).
  • Test: Canadian origins only.

InXpress (and ILS, which has the same fields)

  • Fields: Account number, Gateway to use (optional), Delivery duty paid, Neutral delivery service, Fuel surcharge rate (optional).
  • InXpress quotes international shipments, so its test ships across a border. ILS has no Test connection button.

Spee-Dee

  • Fields: Username, Password.
  • Spee-Dee needs your street address. Fill in Origin address 1 under Settings → General (it shows there when Spee-Dee is on). Without it, Spee-Dee won't quote.
  • Spee-Dee gives separate logins for its production and test systems. Use your production login.
  • "Spee-Dee Error - 401 Unauthorized" means Spee-Dee rejected the login.

DesktopShipper

  • Fields: Production token, Profile ID.
  • "Desktop Shipper Error - 401 Unauthorized" means the token was rejected.

ShipRite

  • Fields: Username, Password, Token, Freight class, Accessorials.
  • ShipRite rates need a token that support sets up. A username and password alone return no rates. If the test says "Your ShipRite connection isn't set up yet. Contact support to connect it, then test again.", contact support.

Shipping platforms and brokers

Worldwide Express / Unishippers

  • Fields: Client ID, Client secret, Package type, Freight class, Accessorials, Packaging for UPS rates.
  • New details can take up to 5 minutes to be accepted. If the test says it "hasn't accepted this client ID and secret yet", wait 5 minutes and test again.
  • "Token expired - awaiting scheduled refresh" in an error clears by itself within a few minutes.
  • The test quotes your own Worldwide Express method if you have one. Otherwise it quotes the cheapest LTL offer.

C.H. Robinson

  • Fields: Client ID, Client secret, Customer code, Package type, Transport mode, Accessorials, Freight class.
  • Like Worldwide Express, new details can take up to 5 minutes to be accepted.

Echo Global Logistics

  • Fields: Username, Password, Freight class, Shipment type, Pallet quantity, Use multiple carrier results, Save quote, Accessorials.
  • With Save quote on, every checkout quote (and every test) is saved in your Echo account.

ShipStation — see Connect ShipStation. Veeqo — see Connect Veeqo.

LTL freight carriers

Estes

  • Fields: Username, Password, Account number, Freight class.
  • Estes uses only the Freight class on this card. It ignores the classes on your products. If the card's class is empty, every Estes quote fails, including the test.

Saia

  • Fields: User ID, Password, Billing terms (Prepaid or Collect), Account number, Application (Inbound, Outbound or ThirdParty), Freight class, Accessorials.

Old Dominion

  • Fields: Account number, Username, Password, Freight class, Accessorials.

R+L Carriers

  • Fields: API key, Freight class, Pallet code, Residential pickup, Inside delivery, Furniture delivery, Accessorials.
  • The Pallet code is specific to your R+L account. Get it from your R+L rep. R+L silently ignores a wrong code, so rates come back without your pallet pricing instead of failing.

ABF Freight

  • Fields: Username, Password, ID, Freight class, Accessorials.

XPO

  • Fields: Username, Password, Customer number (only for negotiated rates), Charge code (P or C), Freight class, Accessorials.
  • The Customer number must be registered to the same ZIP code as your origin in Settings → General. A mismatch makes quotes fail.

Southeastern Freight Lines

  • Fields: MySEFL login ID, MySEFL password, Account number, Option, Terms (Prepaid or Collect), Freight class, Accessorials.

A. Duie Pyle

  • Fields: MyPyle ID, Account, Freight class, Accessorials.

Pitt Ohio

  • Fields: Username, Password, Paying terms, Freight class, Accessorials.
  • The test ships within Pitt Ohio's region (to Pittsburgh, or Cleveland from Pennsylvania).

Roadrunner

  • Fields: Username, Password, Origin type, Payment type (Prepaid or Collect), Freight class, Accessorials.

ReTrans

  • Fields: Username, Client ID, Authorization ID, Freight class, Accessorials.

Custom Companies and Dohrn

  • Custom Companies: Username, Password, Freight class, Accessorials. Dohrn: Username, Client ID, Freight class, Accessorials.
  • Both test within their region (to Chicago, or Milwaukee from Illinois).

Day & Ross

  • Fields: API username, API password, Account number, US account number, Accessorials, Sameday account number, Sameday accessorials.
  • Test: Canadian origins only.
  • If the test says "Our connection to Day & Ross is being renewed…", the problem is on our side, not your login. Test again in a few minutes, and contact support if it keeps happening.

TForce Freight and FedEx Freight — see Connect TForce Freight and Connect FedEx Freight.

Carriers without a Test connection button

These cards have no test button. After saving, check them by quoting a cart in the Shipping Estimator. See Test your rates with the Shipping Estimator.

AFS, APC, Asendia, Australia Post, Border Express, Carrier Rate, CarrierHawk, Cerasis, CTSI, DHL (TAS), EasyPost, EC-Ship, EFS, eShipper, eShipping, First Mile, Flash Furniture, FragilePAK, FreightWise, Google Distance, ICS, ILS, King Solutions, Magnum, Mainfreight, MercuryGate, Midwest Motor Express, Mothership, NM Transfer, Noviship, OnTrac, OrangeDS, Pilot, PLS Logistics, Preferred Shipping, Priority1, Quad Express, Reddaway, RPX, Sherpa, Shippit, StarTrack, TBB Global Logistics, TFWW, TFWW (New), TMS, Veeqo and Western Canada Express.

A few notes:

  • CarrierHawk: enter Shipper name exactly as it appears in the EKA application. It's case sensitive.
  • Midwest Motor Express: Account number is up to 7 digits.
  • Google Distance prices by distance, not by a carrier. It needs a Google API key plus a Mode and Units.

Carriers that are no longer supported

You may still see a card for Unishippers, Unishippers PriceLink, SpeedShip, Freightquote or YRC Freight on an older account. These connections no longer return rates. Contact support and we'll help you move to a supported carrier.
