A markup stopped working
What you see
A markup or handling fee you set up isn't being added at checkout any more, or it has disappeared from the Markups list.
Most likely causes
1. You deleted or switched off the rule it was saved with
A markup is saved against one specific rule of the method you picked, not the whole method.
- If that rule was deleted, the markup disappears from the Markups list and stops applying.
- If that rule is switched off, the markup stops applying, even if other rules of the method are still on.
Confirm: did you recently delete, or switch off, a rule of that method? On the Shipping Rules list, select Off to see switched-off rules.
Fix:
- If the markup is still on the list: select Edit, pick the Shipping method again, and select Save Markup. It's saved against a rule that's on.
- If it disappeared: select Add a markup and create it again.
2. The markup is switched off
Confirm: on the Markups list, select Off and look for it. Fix: switch it on.
3. The rate is $0
Markups aren't added to a $0 rate, so free shipping stays free.
Confirm: the method shows $0 at checkout.
4. The cart doesn't match "When it applies"
Confirm: compare the test address with the markup's Destination ZIP code, Country and States / provinces. With an Origin ZIP code, the markup only applies to packages from that origin. Fix: widen the conditions, or leave them empty.
5. A minimum or maximum charge hides it
The method's Minimum charge and Maximum charge apply after markups. If the price is already raised to the minimum, or capped at the maximum, the markup seems to do nothing.
Confirm: check the method's Charges and options card. See Set a minimum or maximum shipping charge.
