The package table

Select a method's row to open its package table: one line per package ASM priced. Use it to answer "why is this charging for three boxes?"

Columns appear only when they apply to this quote:

Column Meaning
Package Package number.
Origin ZIP code the package ships from.
Weight Package weight. "(+x padding)" means extra weight was added by your padding settings.
Points Points in the package, with its box group number, if you use the points system.
Size Package dimensions.
Class Freight class, for LTL freight.
Distance Distance used by distance-based rates, in miles or km.
Tag A product tag that applied to the package.
Value Declared value, if you declare value.
Shipping The base price for this package. Shown when a markup applied.
Markup The markup added to this package.
Rate What this package adds to the method's price.

Example: a method shows $38.97 and the table has three packages at $12.99 each. The cart was packed into three boxes. Check the products' weights, sizes and box settings. See Set dimensions, boxes and "ship alone" and Rates use the wrong weight.

Extra lines

  • Duties and taxes: $X — shown when you use the Real-Time Duties & Taxes extension and it's turned on.
  • Tax: $X — sales tax, on Turbify stores.

Warnings

  • Product ID "…" is not in our database. — ASM doesn't know that SKU or ID, so it couldn't be rated. Turbify adds "Please publish your store with Variables->Update." See A product is missing in ASM ("not in our database").
  • "No shipping methods are available for these products and this address." — no rule passed for this cart and address.

The errors list

Below the results, "The following are the shipping methods that resulted with errors:" lists each method that failed, as <method> -> <error>.

The error starts with the carrier's name and then its own message. For example:

  • FedEx Error - <message> - Code #<code>
  • UPS Error - <code> - <message>
  • USPS Error - <code> - <message>

Freight and other carriers follow the same pattern. See Carrier error messages.

A method in the errors list is missing from checkout for the same reason. Fix the error first, then quote again.
