BigCommerce: connect ASM to your shipping zones
BigCommerce asks ASM for rates only in the shipping zones where you've connected ASM. Do this once per zone, after you install ASM and add your first shipping rule.
Before you begin
Steps
In your BigCommerce admin:
- Open Settings, then Shipping, and find Checkout shipping options.
- For each zone under Default shipping rules, click Configure.
- Find the Advanced Shipping Manager app and click Connect to turn it on as a shipping carrier.
- Click Submit, then Done at the bottom of the page to make it live.
Repeat steps 2 to 4 for every zone you ship to. A zone where ASM isn't connected won't show ASM's rates.
ASM must also be switched on in ASM itself. See Turn ASM on (or off) at checkout.
Check that it works
- Open your storefront, add a product to the cart and go to checkout.
- Enter an address in one of the zones you connected.
- ASM's methods show.
The ASM Dashboard step Connect ASM at your BigCommerce checkout ticks itself once your checkout's first live quote reaches ASM.
