Settings Page

The settings page contains various controls over the many parts of Centrifuge.  In most cases, you will not need to make changes here very often.  In general, these settings are used during initial setup, however, there may be occasions when you need to make changes.

The settings are divided into 4 main areas. General, Dropship Feeds, Visual, and Ignored Item ID List. Please note: Depending on which version of Centrifuge you are using, some of these areas may or may not be visible.

General Settings

  • New Password & Verify Password - Allows you to change your password for the Centrifuge Control Panel.
  • Inventory Categorization of Each Item is Based on - The inventory page allows you to categorize your items.  If set to "Last Added Path", the system will use the most recently created "path" in your Yahoo Store. If set to one of the custom variables, the system will categorize your items by the matching custom variable set in your Yahoo Store's editor under "centrifuge-variables" in the "variables" section.
  • Items Per Page - Control how many items are displayed on each page of Centrifuge's inventory page.
  • Default Quantity Value (New Items) - Automatically uses the set value as the quantity on hand for newly added items. Default is set to 0.
  • Allow Negative Quantities - (Default No) When set to "No", quantity will not go below 0 even if orders placed exceeds quantity in stock. When set to "Yes", quantity will show negative amounts when orders placed exceeds quantity in stock.
  • Default Setting for Minimum Quantity Alerts - On the inventory page, there is a column that allows you to set minimum QOH for each item.  When the QOH reaches this number, you will receive an alert.  This setting sets the default number for the minimum QOH alerts.
  • Email Address to Receive Minimum Quantity Alerts - Minimum quantity alerts will be sent to the set email address.

Dropship Feed Settings

When using the dropship feed module with email feeds, you will need to set up a gmail account to be used solely for this system.  Once you have set up the gmail account, please enter the gmail address and password here.

Visual Settings (Items shown in the control panel in red are advanced settings.  If you are unsure what these are, do not change them.)

ITEMS SHOWN IN RED ARE ADVANCED SETTINGS. IN MOST CASES YOU WILL NOT NEED TO MODIFY THESE.

  • Options Type (form Advanced Users) - (Default: Dropdown) Set which type of options your store uses. Dropdowns (<select> tags) or radio buttons (<input type="radio">).
  • Show Stock Status Image - If you want to use a graphic to indicate stock status, set this to "Yes".  You may use a graphic and text simultaneously.

  • Text Object ID (for Advanced Users) - Enter the containing element (div, span, etc) ID attribute used to contain the stock status text.
  • Text for In-Stock - Enter the text that you would like to show when an item is in stock.  You may also enter "%%%QOH%%%"  (3 percent signs, QOH, 3 percent signs). This will make the system automatically show the number of items in stock.  Example:  There are currently %%%QOH%%% in stock.  This would show on your item pages as: There are currently 10 in stock.
  • Text for Out of Stock - Text to display when an item is out of stock.
  • Single Option Mapping - If your items use only a SINGLE set of options (only one dropdown), you choose to show the stock status directly inside the dropdown.  To enable, set to "Yes". This is only for "Dropdown" style options.
  • Option Suffix for In-Stock - Enter the text to show inside the dropdown for items that are in stock.
  • Option Suffix for Out-Of-Stock - Enter the text to show inside the dropdown for items that are out of stock.

  • Hide Quantity Box and Add To Cart Button If Out of Stock - When an item is out of stock, Centrifuge can completely hide the quantity box and add to cart button.  This prevents customers from adding the item to the cart. To hide, set to "Yes".
  • Quantity Box Object ID (for Advanced Users) - If you have chosen to hide the quantity box and add to cart button for items that are out of stock, enter the ID attribute for the HTML element tag to hide.  This can be a container element (div, span, etc), or the actual <input> tag of the quantity box.
  • Add To Cart Input ID (for Advanced Users) - If you have chosen to hide the add to cart button and quantity box for items that are out of stock, enter the ID attribute for the <input> tag of the add to cart button.

  • Show Back-In-Stock Requests After Object ID - Enter the HTML element's ID attribute as a reference point that tells Centrifuge where on your item pages to show the back-in-stock subscription form.  The form will show immediately after this HTML element.
  • Back-In-Stock Notification Text - Enter the text to be shown on your item pages that guides customers to enter their email address for the back-in-stock notification emails.
  • Back-In-Stock Sender (Email Address) - Enter the email address that customers will see in the "From" field in the back-in-stock notification emails.  In most cases, you should enter an email address @yourstore.com.
  • Back-In-Stock Subject - Enter the subject line to use in the back-in-stock notification emails.
  • Back-In-Stock Email Template - Enter the URL of the template used to design your back-in-stock email message. See the back-in-stock notification template help file for more details.

Ignored Item ID List (space delimited)

You may choose to have Centrifuge completely ignore specific items in your store.  As a result, these items will not be listed in the database at all.  Enter the page ID(s) of the items that you want to be ignored. Separate each page ID with a space.  Do not confuse page IDs with codes or SKUs.  Page IDs are unique identifiers for each page in your Yahoo Store.  To find a page ID, navigate to the page in question (in the store editor) and click edit.  At the very top, you will see an uneditable variable called "ID".  This is the page ID.  Page IDs are also part of each page's URL. For example, the URL for an item will look like this: http://www.yourstore.com/pageID.html. Substitute "pageID" with the actual page ID.
